Logo // Branding // Website Design
We had a blast working on this new brand and website for Lydia at Dawn ‘til Dusk. There was an established logo and brand, but Lydia was ready for a logo refresh. We started with 3 distinct moodboards to work with her to decide what was her look and feel for the brand. We were able to continue to narrow down the direction until we had one solid path forward that spoke to the type of wedding planner she is, down to earth with a casual elegance.
From her original logo, it was important to her to keep the Des Moines skyline, so we were able to create a new illustrative version to elevate the skyline. We disconnected it from the logo itself, so it can be used with the logo, like in a social profile or badge or as a stand-along element. We also loved having the DD to work with as a monogram and got busy developing a pattern to use through out her pieces.
Once everything was set, we began on the website. Since she had a current website, we were able to skip any site mapping and content development to jump right into a “working wireframe”. We decided to use the platform Squarespace as we have for many small business clients. It has an easy to understand backend that can help any small business owner handle small changes to their site. And we always stay on as admin for the trickier things that come along. Once we got the parts and pieces moved from her old site and she approved of the flow, we got to work on the redesign, bringing all that great branding into the new website.
We couldn’t be prouder of how it all turned out. It’s a great fit for this client and an overall beautiful brand and website.
